Dyson fans and heaters use Air Multiplier technology to draw in surrounding air and amplify it into a smooth, uninterrupted stream of airflow, projecting more than 49 gallons of air per second at maximum setting. Unlike bladed fans, there are no fast-spinning blades exposed, making them safer in homes with children and pets, and significantly easier to clean. All models in this range are bladeless and tower-format, designed to sit on a floor or flat surface and circulate air across a room.
The range breaks into three distinct use cases. The Cool AM07 is a pure cooling fan with no heating function. The Hot+Cool AM09 adds ceramic heating plates for year-round use, with a Jet Focus mode that channels a concentrated stream of air for personal use and a Diffused mode for whole-room coverage. The Purifier Hot+Cool HP range adds HEPA H13 filtration and real-time air quality monitoring on top of the fan and heater functions, making it the most capable option if indoor air quality is a concern alongside temperature control.

Cooling only: the AM07 is Dyson's most focused machine in this category. It does one thing, it does it well, and it comes in at the lowest price point. Ten airflow speeds, 70-degree oscillation, a sleep timer up to 9 hours, and a curved magnetic remote that stores on the machine. If you need a bedroom or living room fan and nothing more, this is the straightforward choice.
Year-round use, no purification needed: the AM09 adds Dyson's ceramic heating plates to the cooling function, making it a practical single-appliance replacement for both a fan and a space heater. Jet Focus mode channels a directed stream of warm or cool air toward you for fast personal comfort. Diffused mode broadens the airflow for whole-room coverage. A programmable thermostat holds the room at a set temperature and cycles the heating on or off to maintain it. The AM09 is the best-value entry point into Dyson's heating range.
Year-round use with air quality monitoring: the HP10 adds HEPA H13 filtration and continuous air quality sensing to the full fan and heater capability. Sensors monitor PM2.5, PM10, VOCs, and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) in real time, with readings on the LCD display and in the MyDyson app. The filtration system is fully sealed, meaning all air passing through the machine goes through the filter rather than around it. The HP10 is the right choice if you want temperature control and clean air from a single appliance.
For new builds, renovations, or formaldehyde concerns: the HP09 adds a dedicated solid-state electrochemical sensor for formaldehyde and a catalytic filter that continuously destroys it at a molecular level, rather than capturing and holding it. The catalytic filter does not need replacing for that specific pollutant. If the space has been recently built, renovated, or furnished with new materials prone to off-gassing, the HP09 is the more complete solution.
Two types of refurbished machines are sold on this page. The listing badge makes the distinction clear for every product.
Manufacturer restored
Loop restored
Both options deliver a fully functional machine at a meaningful saving. For full details on each, visit the Dyson Certified Refurbished hub page.
A refurbished Dyson fan or heater is a previously owned machine that has been returned, inspected, and restored to full working order. It performs identically to a new unit. The motor, Air Multiplier mechanism, and heating element are all tested before dispatch and must pass before the machine ships.
For the AM07 and AM09, there are no filters or consumable components involved. The machines either work or they don't, which makes the refurbishment assessment straightforward. For HP models, which include HEPA H13 filtration, filter condition is also assessed and noted on the individual listing.
What varies between refurbished machines is cosmetic condition, not performance. A Fair grade machine runs the same as a Premium grade machine. The difference is in surface wear. Loop's condition grades are defined clearly on each listing so you know exactly what you are buying before checkout. Where the Dyson Certified badge appears, Dyson's own engineers handled the restoration using genuine parts, to Dyson's own production standards.
If you need cooling only, the AM07 is the focused choice. If you want year-round use, the AM09 adds heating at a price that makes running two separate appliances hard to justify. If air quality matters alongside temperature control, the HP10 or HP09 covers all three. Every machine on this page is fully tested, backed by a 12-month warranty, and eligible for free 30-day returns.
Check the individual listing for cosmetic grade, Dyson Certified or Loop standard badge, and current price. More models are added to this page regularly, so if your preferred machine isn't available right now, check back soon.
